There’s something undeniably inspiring about the sea. Standing on the shore at Malabata, we felt the pulse of the ocean as waves crashed and receded, each one unique yet part of an endless rhythm. The air was filled with the scent of salt and the sounds of the tide, creating a perfect atmosphere for our art. Drawing here was a sensory experience; the sand beneath our feet, the breeze that played with our paper, and the sounds of the water became part of the process.
As artists, we strive to capture emotions and moments, and Malabata Beach provided both. We were drawn to the way the light reflected off the water, how the sand shimmered under the sun, and the expansive sky that seemed to blend into the ocean. Sketching at the beach was both calming and energizing, an experience that filled us with gratitude for the beauty of our natural surroundings. The beach has a way of making you feel both small and infinite at once. It’s a reminder of the vastness of the world and our connection to it. With each stroke, we tried to capture a fraction of that endlessness, a bit of the ocean’s spirit on paper.
